Welcome back, I hope you all had a relaxing break. We are moving full speed ahead as we approach the middle of the school year. Our weekly newsletter will go home tomorrow please check it out for important information. Join us for our 1st Grade Flag Salute performance on Friday at 8:35!

This week in Reading we will be working on cause/effect which is going over what happens in a story and what caused it to happen. In our Skills Block we will be going over vocabulary, learning spelling/sound patterns with Long i, and contractions. In Writing, we are starting a new report. This is the last week for reports and next week we will start Procedural Writing (how to). In Math, we will be working with geoblocks (3-D shapes) which includes recognizing and describing. For Math Skills block we will be working on "Counting up" (ex: John has 4 apples and Jenny has 8. How many more does Jenny have than John?). In Science we are continuing Earth Structures and will talk about water and why it's important. Have a glorious week!
